Taiwan-based
Polytron technologies, a subsidiary of people firm polytronix, aims
to alter the means we inspect ( and through ) glass.
The
corporate makes big projection touchscreens, selectively opaque
glass, holographic glass, led-impregnated glass, color-changing glass, rainbow
glass, and glowing glass. Polytron has announced its plans to complete a
transparent glass smartphone by the top of 2013. The corporate has
earlier created polyvision privacy glass, that's an electrically
switchable, selectively opaque or transparent pane of glass created of
glass, conductive material, and liquid crystal film. In its natural state, the
central crystalline structure is randomly oriented, scattering incoming lightweight to
help make the surface opaque ; though when an electrical current
is introduced, the liquid crystals line up to get transparent,
transmitting lightweight from one aspect to the
opposite. The opposite firm’s invention is polytouch frame, a
giant transparent touchscreen monitor. The longer term smartphone
prototype feels to rely by the firm’s existing
technologies, though there’s lots to carry out.
